some old NEWS

We have recently explored and mapped the Chihuaua Silver trail from Carichic to Batopilas
this was the original route that Alexander Sheppard and the Batopilas Minning Company used
to transport the silver on mule trains of up to two hundred pack animals. if you like to know more
about this great expedition check it out Silver Trail

The exchange rate is at the moment around 11.00 pesos per dollar. If driving down to Batopilas please check beforehand in Creel what the road conditions are ahead........ Also in the town of Batopilas there is now some road jams going on, not that there was a lot of room anyway .....
Campers should never leave their camp unattended as is known for people to lose some of their gear while they're out day hiking, unless you camp at the designated camp sites around creel....... ..............................
........Old but Good news - Batopilas is no longer a dry town - beer is now legally for sale and there is three bars all near the plaza area........ more details comming soon!!...............just got to come and find out... Good travels!!!
