There is plenty to see and do for all types of visitors to this area beginning with the spectacular Chihuahua al Pacifico railroad journey - this is classed in the top ten train journeys in the world and with good reason - the train chugs from the steamy tropical plains of the state of Sinaloa through canyons up to the pine covered mountains of the Sierra Tarahumara and through to the immense expanse of Chihuahua desert - passing through 86 tunnels and over more than 30 bridges. This feat of engineering took over 50 years to complete.
