On the rim

End April to End September - warm days and fresh nights.
From June through to September is the rainy season when all the canyons become so lush. Rain usually falls late afternoon so you have most of the day to get out and about but do bring your rain gear!
End September to End April - mainly warm days but very cold nights (below freezing) can also snow here. However, snow tends to melt very quickly due to high altitude in a southern climate - be sure to bring some warm clothes!

Down in the canyons

End April to end September - extremely hot and humid with plenty of vicious mosquitos - we do not recommend descending the canyons at this time of year.
End September to end April - perfect weather! Nice and warm - hardly any mosquitos.
